We are pleased to announce our new Airport Manager is George A. Smith, Jr. C.M.. He is looking forward to bringing new and exciting things to the Owensboro Airport. Stop by and introduce yourself. To all of our customers Great Lakes Aviation will start serving Owensboro in the near future. We should have more information by Summer 2008 and hope to be flying soon there after. The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport is an independent public airport governed by a ten member Board of Directors composed of private citizens.
The Airport Serves a large portion of mid-western Kentucky and southern Indiana by providing the residents of this region access to the national air transportation system. As such, the airport is an integral and dynamic element in the welfare of the region. The Board pursues its objectives by employing professional staff, and by working closely with the traveling public, various levels of government, the airlines and a variety of other groups whose goals are to serve the best interests of the community at large.

2006 Construction Season-Due to FAA funding levels, the scope of the project has changed for the 2006 season. Starting August 7, 2006, Runway 18-36 will be closed for approximately 3 months while the extensions for the Runway and Taxiway Charlie will be constructed.
